Harris Plumbing Solder is an all-purpose, silver-bearing solid wire solder is designed for general applications where strength and leak-proof connections are necessary. It's ideal for soldering water-tight seals on copper pipes, hot water heaters, and plumbing fixtures. Use it with a compatible plumbing flux (sold separately). This lead-free formula is NSF 61 certified, making it safe to use in potable water systems. The solid wire solder meets ANSI standard B32 and has a melting temperature of 430° F / 221.1° C. Each solder comes in 1/8 inch (3 mm) diameter and weighs 3 oz (85 g).
