All our stores have a wide selection of brands with the latest products in the market. We have a large selection of power tools, accessories and hardware at competitive prices. We proudly serve a broad spectrum of clients from the homeowner or contractor to the industrial user and take pride in serving their needs.


What will our HR/Payroll Assistant do?

Summit Tools is looking for a permanent, Full-Time HR/Payroll Assistant based in our Burnaby location. To ensure success in this position, the incumbent will need to be a detail oriented individual with previous experience in the HR / Payroll domain. In addition to these qualities, we require the following skills:


Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Processing New Hire documents
  • Tracking and monitoring Performance Management initiatives
  • Full Cycle Recruitment
  • Help with employee communication
  • Timesheet calculations
  • Employee forms and files updates
  • Benefits reconciliation
  • Recording vacation for each department
  • Creating and extracting various HR and Payroll reports
  • Other duties as assigned by reporting manager

What skills do we want you to have?

  • Working towards or recently graduated with an HR / payroll degree or designation
  • Accurate and efficient keyboarding skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, think logically, and apply critical thinking skills
