Positioned for growth, we now have a total of 4 stores. In addition to our flagship store in Burnaby, you will see Summit Tools in Port Coquitlam, Kelowna and St. Jerome, Quebec. All our stores have a wide selection of brands with the latest products in the market including a large selection of power tools, accessories and hardware at competitive prices. We proudly serve a broad spectrum of clients from the homeowner or contractor to the industrial user, and we take pride in serving their needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain proper inventory levels for store operations, promotional sales, and within warehouse capacity
  • Review historical reports to analyze applicable order quantities, processes, and to forecast future order requirements
  • Provide guidance and assistance with inventory control initiatives including replenishment functions
  • Provide guidance and assistance to enhance overall departmental processes
  • Track purchase orders and manage logistical and operational challenges
  • Effective communication with: Store Operations, Warehouse, Vendors, and Freight Forwarding Companies
  • Follow-ups, corrections and adjustments of orders
  • Provide general assistance during promotional events (flyers, price changes etc.)
  • Other projects and assignments as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Must be able to think critically and use sound judgment to make logical decisions
  • Previous work history in a retail environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of the tool and power tool industry is an asset
  • Must have highly proficient written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be able to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • Must have a high degree of attention to detail
  • Must be able to take initiative, problem solve, use creativity and personal judgment
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must have completed Grade 12
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field is preferred
